Mother's Day

I am so far behind on my blog posts, so I am going to trying and catch up.

Mother's Day was a relaxing day spent with my children.  Church with my family and my mom and dad and then Keith BBQ'd for me.  We hung out by the pool and chillaxed.

Again this year, as in years past I pray for the mother that gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Maddie.  I can only hope and pray that she knows how grateful I am for her sacrifice of giving her baby a better life than she could offer.  I also hope that she somehow feels that Maddie is safe, healthy and very loved.  Only GOD knows who she is and he hears my prayers...

As Christopher is preparing to leave for College, I see the fruits of my labor in him.  All of the sacrifices, tears, laughter and sleepless nights I have had during my journey of being his Mother is paying off.   I realize how important a job being a mother is to a child.  We are responsible for guiding our children into responsible, loving, compassionate adults and I must say I feel that I have done a good job.  He is such a great son!

Mother's Day was incomplete though, as Mia Catherine is still not with me.  I can't wait to be her mother and for her to be part of our family.  We are still on target for a late June travel date.
