Giving Thanks....

Today, on the eve of Thanksgiving, I felt that I needed to pause for a moment and write down the things I am thankful for.

I am thankful for:
- My Wonderful Family
- The laughter my kids bring into my life
- My many friends
- The many blessings that GOD sees fit to bestow upon us (they are too many to list)
- My Health and the health of my family
- and I am thankful for what I do not have....

And I can't help but mention how thankful I am that GOD has blessed us with Madelyn, this journey to her and those that have come into my life because of her. When I look back at the last 5 months and I read my blog entries and relive those moments; I am so thankful for hurdles in this process that we have overcome thus far and I am thankful that we only have a few more to cross.

With respect to our progress in the adoption, we are still waiting on Travel Approval. I was hoping to have it this week, which in my calculations meant that we could have possibly traveled and been home with her before Christmas. I don't know that it will work out that way now. But I trust GOD, whole heartedly and know that his timing is PERFECT.

We have been keeping very busy these last few months. I traveled to San Diego, CA for a few days for work and then returned, only to travel with Lizzy to Washington DC for a class field trip. While we were in DC, we were so blessed to have met Keith's cousin and his family. His cousin lives in Maryland and took time to drive up to DC and spend some time visiting with us. They have 3 beautiful children and one of which, Carly, was adopted from China. They have been such a valuable resource to me throughout this whole journey.

Basketball season has started and both Christopher and Lizzy are playing. For those that know me very well - this is the time of year that I live for!!! I am also thankful for basketball season - lol. Christopher is playing for St. Louis and he has a pretty aggressive schedule, so we have been traveling a little playing some tournaments. We will be leaving shortly after Thanksgiving lunch to travel to Austin to play in the Jack Frost Tournament. Go Saints.

Please keep praying for us and most importantly Madelyn. Continue to pray for a speedy Travel Approval and Travel Dates. We are almost there....

Happy Thanksgiving!
